centuries
including works by Hartley, Homer, Kent, and Wyeth showcasing the
artistic
heritage of the U.S. and Maine. Major European movements from
Impressionism
through Surrealism are represented by the works of Rodin, Degas, Monet,
and Picasso. An award-winning building designed by I.M. Pei &

Portland is the largest city in Maine with a population of 64,249 citizens as of 2000. It is the county seat of Cumberland County.
